Since 1997, Jeff Randall and Mike Perrin
of Randall's Adventure &
Training (RAT) have designed no-nonsense field cutlery that the
average soldier, law enforcement officer, and adventurer can afford. Since
our beginnings, RAT designed knives have become very popular and well
recognized around the world. After several years of having our knives made by
a custom maker, then another 5 years by a large production manufacturer, we
felt it was time to step out on our own. We believe this new, higher
quality line will follow in the same success as our original custom made
RTAK, and our numerous designs under the Ontario RAT label.

RC-3
After noting
improvements offered to us by soldiers and cops in the field, we took the
popular Ontario/RAT RAT-3, added 3/8" of handle length, a
glass-breaking pommel, larger handle screws, then differentially
heat-treated the 1095 carbon steel and dressed up the Micarta slabs to
build the RAT Cutlery RC-3. We then coupled this improved model with a sheath
system that can be carried in just about any configuration for
the perfect, lightweight carry knife. The RC-3 features a substantial
upgrade in overall fit and finish, as well as lined gray Micarta slab
handles and a Super Tuff black textured powder coat on the steel. The
partially serrated version features five equally spaced aggressive
serrations that can be re-sharpened with a 3/8" diameter hone. These
serrations are much more efficient than most and easily cut through canvas,
seat belts or other flexible materials.

RC-4
This is the
longer, thicker "wilderness" model of the popular RC-3 tactical
knife. With its 3/16" thickness, full flat grind, rounded pommel,
Micarta handles and light weight, it can serve as a primary backpacking and
wilderness survival knife, or fitted to your modular system for duty carry
in a tactical environment.
The new RC-4
should be available in Australia mid to late February.

This is the first large knife for RAT Cutlery Company and quite
possibly the finest balance and fit we have ever designed. The RC-6 will
